Skiing in the Lucanian Apenine National Park

In the winter months, when there is sufficient snowfall, the area of 'Sellata-Arioso' offers a small cross-mountain ski resort with 6 ski lifts and 10 runs (8 kms in total), set in woodlands 1350 meters above sea level and up to the summits of Mount Pierfaone at 1740 and Mount Arioso at 1710 meters.
Lifts can be accessed from the pretty towns of Abriola and Sasso di Castalda where you can also find excellent local restaurants and refuges offering seasonal traditional dishes.
